GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND STAY
1. Subject and Acceptance

These terms govern the stay and ancillary services provided by Villa Margherita srl. Confirmation of a booking implies full acceptance of these regulations, cancellation policies, and the Villa’s code of conduct.

2. Booking and Confirmation Procedures

To guarantee a reservation, a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard) and a contact telephone number are required.

Standard Rate: The property reserves the right to pre-authorize or charge the total amount of the stay within the terms established by the seasonal cancellation policy (7 or 5 days prior to arrival). In the event of non-payment or an invalid card, the reservation will be cancelled.

Non-Refundable Rate: The full amount is charged at the time of confirmation. No refunds, modifications, or credits are provided in the event of cancellation or no-show.

3. Seasonal Cancellation Policies

Cancellation is free of charge if made within the following terms:

High Season (April – September): up to 8 days prior to the arrival date.

Low Season (October – March): up to 5 days prior to the arrival date.
Beyond these deadlines, or in the case of a no-show, the full amount of the stay will be charged.

4. Arrival and Departure (Reception and Check-in)

Check-in: Rooms are available from 3:00 PM.

Reception Hours: The reception is open from 08:00 AM to 10:00 PM (until 8:00 PM from October to March). For arrivals after these hours, it is mandatory to contact the property in advance to receive self check-in instructions.

Check-out: Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 AM. Late check-out requests are subject to availability and an additional fee.

Courtesy Services: On the day of arrival and departure, guests may store their luggage and use the swimming pool, restaurant, and changing rooms to maximize their time at the property.

5. Tourist Tax and Extra Services

Tourist Tax: Mandatory for non-residents of the Municipality of Livorno (aged 14 and over, max 7 nights). April–October: € 3.00 | November–March: € 1.50 (per person/night).

Pets: Small pets are welcome for a supplement of € 15.00 per night, subject to prior notice.

Extra Charges: Minibar and additional services will be charged to the room account and must be settled upon check-out. Once payment has been made and the guest has left the property, no claims regarding these amounts will be accepted.

6. Use of Spaces and Events at the Villa

Villa Margherita is a renowned venue for events and weddings.

Important Note: During your stay, certain outdoor areas (gardens, swimming pool, or terraces) may be reserved for exclusive use or undergo changes in access hours. Guests are invited to check space availability in advance. Failure to request information beforehand implies acceptance of any such limitations, which shall not be grounds for claims or refund requests.

7. House Rules and Liability

Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the rooms and in covered common areas.

Damage: Any damage to the structure or furnishings caused by negligence will be charged to the person responsible for the stay.

Liability: Villa Margherita declines all responsibility for the theft or loss of items not stored in safes or left in common areas.

8. Dining Services

Breakfast: 08:00 AM – 10:30 AM | Lunch: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM | Dinner: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.

Reservations are recommended. Please note that from January 18th to April 5th, the restaurant will be closed for dinner on Fridays and Sundays for organizational reasons.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This contract is governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the exclusive jurisdiction shall be the Court of Livorno.
